Seek the Good, You’ll Find It

1. When you seek the good, you will find it.

2. A woman shouldn’t be the center of your life, but a great woman can help make your life fantastic.

3. Those screeching, harpy feminists? They are the minority. Most women out there are just as confused as we men are. Give them a break. Give them a chance.

4. While technology can be “bad” when overused, it can make life amazing. Look at how easy it is today, you can connect with amazing people across the world with a swipe, click, or a keystroke. How does it get better than that?

5. Helpers are everywhere. You just need to open your eyes to see them. Look around you. You’ll see.

5 More Unpleasant Truths – 10

man person people emotions

  1. Those ideas, those inspirations you get wherever you are at? Write that shit down, make a note, record it on your phone. Do whatever you have to do to get it and preserve it! “Oh I’ll remember that one for later.” No you WON’T. I’m still falling prey to this one. How many times….
  2. 95% “perfect” and “out there” beats 100% “perfect” and “not out there.” Every time. No exceptions. Execution is king.
  3. 1/3 of the world will love you no matter what. 1/3 will be indifferent to you no matter what. 1/3 will hate you no matter what. Figure out who is in the love category and focus on them exclusively. Not everybody is going to like you. Do you like or love everyone you meet? Didn’t think so.
  4. Finding your voice is difficult, one of the hardest things to do. Worth it when you find it. Using your voice once you found it is even more difficult, and it’s because you care what other people think. You care about their opinions of you. Until you deal with that and stop caring what other people think, you’ll never use your voice to its full potential, if at all.
  5. Your’s is to lead. At least yourself. If you don’t, if you wait for someone else to take the lead, to take the reins, you’ll end up somewhere you didn’t want to go. And you know what? That will be your fault. Make a choice, step up. Decide. Then execute. Choosing not to choose is a choice.

Another 20 Thoughts On Life

1. No one wants to hear the truth. Not really. They say they do, but they don’t.

2. Ideas are a dime a dozen. Actually, they are worth less than that. Ideas by themselves are worthless. The world is full of them. The world rewards execution.

3. Sometimes it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Especially in the beginning.

4. Instead of comparing yourself to others, just compare yourself to yourself. Are you better today than you were yesterday? Even by 1%? That’s the goal. Do that.

5. The ugly truth beats a pretty lie every time.

6. Simpler is better. If at all possible, go simpler. In everything.

7. Get comfortable with violence. Violence in and of itself, isn’t inherently good or bad, it just is, no matter what the rest of “the world” says. Sometimes violence IS necessary. Sometimes violence IS the answer. Which brings me to:

8. Explore all your other options before going to violence. Ideally, violence should be your last option. But if needed, go all out.

9. In the “real world,” there are winners and there are losers, in spite of what you may have learned in school or on the playing field. Remember this. It will serve you well. It can be used by you, or it can be used against you. Your choice.

10. Get a pet if you don’t have one. They do wonders for your blood pressure, your body, your mind, and your soul.

11. The #1 Rule of Life: There are no rules.

12. The #2 Rule of Life: See Rule #1.

13. If you are going to have rules in your life besides Rule #1 and #2, make damn sure that they are your rules and not somebody else’s. Their rules serve to benefit them, not you.

14. Just because there are no inherent rules in life doesn’t mean that there aren’t consequences. Choose wisely. Choose accordingly.

15. The Meaning of Life: Whatever you make of it.

16. Help other’s if and when you can. But help yourself first. You’ll be able to do more for other’s that way.

17. It’s preferable if people treat you with love and respect, but if you can’t have that from them, fear works.

18. Get behind something. Anything really. Make it yours. If you don’t, you’ll find yourself drifting.

19. Taking action is better than sitting around thinking.

20. Over analysis leads to paralysis.
